August's GlossyBox

B here...

This month's GlossyBox has arrived and it looks like the box has changed to more of a square matte, which is still lovely. The box felt heavy, so I have very curious to what was inside.

Let's take a peak...

[Comfort Zone] Essentials Cleansing Milk - Full size product £20
I don't usually use cleansing milk as part of my beauty regime, but it looks and sounds like a good product, so I'll give it a go.

Lalique L'Amour, £67 for a full size 50ml bottle
I dabbed some on my wrists straight away and it is a lovely scent, very floral.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (40ml) £38 for a full size 250ml
This is a pre-shampoo treatment and originally created for Audrey Hepburn. I wouldn't normally buy hair treatments like this, but excited to give it a try to see the results.

Figs & Rouge Mini Hand Cream (20ml) £6.95 for full size 80ml
This was the first product to stand out to me with the amazing colours on the bottle. It;s the perfect size to take around in your bag. It's smooth on the skin and a lovely scent of shea butter.

Yves Rocher Pink Nail Polish 3ml at £3.60
First thoughts were "its so cute". Petite bottle of nail polish and a really nice pink colour.

Kryolan For GlossyBox Highlighter Cashmere - Full size product at £12.95
This highlighter really does feel like cashmare. It's so soft and a subtle shine when I tried it on my hand. Perfect for cheekbones and lips.

Overall, I'm impressed with this month's Glossybox and can't wait to try these products.

July's 'Stars & Stripes' GlossyBox

B here...

This month's Glossybox has arrived!! I didn't realise that it was going to be the Stars and Stripes box, so it was a nice surprise when I unpacked it.

As always, beautifully packaged and the blue and red theme continues inside the box.

Let's see what's inside...

Bellapierre cosmetics: Mineral lipstick (full sized) at £20

I've never tried orange lipstick because I can't imagine it would suit me, but I will have a try. It's very smooth.

Colour Club: Glossy Seal which has cruelty free ingredients which is good to know. $8 for 15ml. I'm a serious nail polish addict but this colour didn't grab me, but maybe I'll think differently when it's applied.

Carmex: Lip Balm at £2.69. I've tried Carmex before a long time ago and I like it. Funny sensation with the beeswax but does helped chapped lips.

Good size to take with you everywhere.

ABSOLUTE New York: Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer at $4.99.

I've tried Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer before, which was good and my eyeshadow stayed on all day, so I look forward to trying this one to see if it is the same or better. When I put it on my hand, it was silky smooth, so I have high hopes.

tarte: lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara at £19.50 for 7ml. First impressions,  I really like the mascara bottle.

The brush looks good and looks like it'll be able to get into the lashes in the corner of your eye with ease.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this month's Glossybox. A bunch of staple products from brands I haven't tried before, so I look forward to testing them out.

The Body Shop Vanilla Body Lotion

Zee here...

Every time I wake up it has become part of my morning routine to moisturise my face before applying make up. I seem to struggle with dry skin so I've tried a few different creams but the ones I always seem to love are The Body Shop's Body Lotion's.

I'm currently using the Vanilla scent but I have previously had the Peach one too. These smell delicious - my boyfriend always jokes that I leave the rooms smelling of chocolate and sweets which can't be a bad thing! I also received a compliment when I was in the kitchen at work the other day when one of the girls asked if I was wearing Shea Butter because I smelt good!

The lotion is soft and easy to apply, leaving your skin feeling amazing! One thing I'm impressed with is how much it soaks into your skin, you aren't left with the greasiness that some moisturisers cause. Therefore you don't have to wait long to get dressed as there isn't a risk of it marking your clothes.

I've always been a big fan of The Body Shop due the fact the don't test on animals and that their products are so natural and pure. This lotion has now become my regular moisturiser but I can't wait to try some different scents as so far the Vanilla and Peach have been a success!

No7 'Hotting Up' Gel-Look Shine Polish

Zee here...

Today's nail polish is Boots No7 'Hotting Up' nail polish which is part of the new gel shine range. It's a lovely hot pink shade which is nice for the summer and goes with loads of different outfits!

The polish dried really quickly and the finish was lovely and smooth. I could have left it with only one coat and it would have been fine but I always like to do a second coat.

Usually when I paint my nails I have to use my Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day Clear Gel polish on top to give it the shine but this lovely nail varnish has a nice gel finish on it's own! This means I'm saving money by not using the extra varnish and it also saves time painting them.

I'd definitely recommend this Gel Shine No7 polish, I've already bought another one in a dark maroon/wine colour which I'll try out next!

MAC Dazzleglass Lip Gloss & Bill Skinner Bee and Honeycomb Ring

B here...

My friend bought this lovely MAC Dazzleglass lip gloss called Baby Sparks this weekend and thought I would share because it's a lovely colour. It was £17.50, which I thought is a little steep but I have used MAC lip glosses before and they last ages so it's worth it.

It's a love pink colour with sparkly glitter too and super shiny on. My friend has fair skin and this lip gloss really compliments her. The only downside is that it is super sticky and if a wind blew then all your hair will definitely be stuck on your month, but this is what we deal with for beauty products eh?

I also couldn't resist popping my new Bill Skinner Bee & Honeycomb ring in the photo because I love it so much :) Who knew a piece of jewellery could make you so happy!

Topshop Matte Chico Latino Nail Polish

B here...

For this weeks nails, I've gone for Topshop's Matte Chico Latino nail polish.

I really like the colour, a deep purple. Smooth application and dries quickly. I find that matte nail polish always dries quicker. I did like the matte effect, but for this time I decided to put a top coat to make it a bit shiny.

They are £6, but they are 2 for £9 on selected nails polishes in Topshop.

No7 Cheeky Chops Nail Polish

Zee here...

I shop in Boots regularly and often get given vouchers with £3 off any No7 make up in store, whenever I get these vouchers I tend stock up on new No7 nail varnishes. I recently bought 'Cheeky Chops' which is a fun summery coral colour which looks lovely on! As you can see by the photo it leaves your nails looking bright with a smooth glossy professional finish. This colour is great for adding statement to any outfit - especially when wearing black!  I have already gone and bought another 'Cheeky Chops' as I love the colour that much I don't want to risk it being discontinued!

One of my favourite things about the No7 nail varnish range is that it lasts at least a week and tends to be pretty much chip free! I also love the No7 nail varnish bottles - they have a sleek look to them and it looks great when you line them all up together!

Topshop Relapse Nail Polish

B here...

Here is Topshop's Relapse Nail Polish I bought the other day. The colour grabbed me because it's a lovely pink summery colour. I probably have too many pink nail polishes, but they're all slightly different shades :)

Like all Topshop nail polishes I've tried, I find the application smooth and dries relatively quickly.

I love the colour and I also used it on my toes and the pink really pops with sandals!

It was 2 nail polishes for £9, which is very good value.

Shellac Gel Nails

Zee here...

I've been wanting to get a gel manicure for ages and I got given a gift card for The Reef Boutique in Maidstone which was perfect! The Shellac gel manicure was supposed to cost £30.00 but as I already had a £25.00 gift card it only cost me £5.00!

From my research I had found out that Shellac polishes are a hybrid of gel polish and normal polish which means they have all the benefits of the gel manicure but are better for your nails. The Reef was lovely, the staff were friendly and chatty which made you relaxed, making the time fly! The picture below shows my beautifully manicured nails, the Shellac shade that I chose was Decadence which is a dark maroon/red. I was very impressed with the finish, the coat was put on perfectly and the best thing was that they were completely dry because the UV lamp cures them. It was such a strange feeling to have freshly painted nails that were dry but it's something I would love to have constantly!

The best thing about the Shellac manicure? I have it on for 3 whole weeks and I didn't get a single chip! The only reason I took the polish off was simply because of the regrowth, other than that the nails looked as good as they did when I left the saloon!

Inside June's Glossybox

B here...

My Glossybox arrived today!! As always, amazing packaging, I'm crazy about the pink box that it always arrives in.

So let's have a peak inside June's Glossybox.

Teeez Trend Cosmetics - Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush, €19
First impressions, I love the packaging and pattern on the brush. Will be a fab addition to my make up brushes!

So Susan Cosmetics - Universal Blush, £18.
Again I love the packaging and on the back of the box it says cruelty free with a picture of a rabbit. I haven't used blush before but excited to try it!

got2b - Rise 'n Shine Soufflé, £4.07
Smells amazing! I also don't tend to use hair products like this but it's for volume and shine and I wouldn't say no to my hair looking shiny and voluminous.

Roger&Gallet - Fleur de Figuier discovery ritual, shower cream, body lotion and way fraîche fragrance.

nailgirls - 3 in 1 bass/topcoat & nail strengthener, £13.50 for 15ml. This one is 10ml.
I love doing my nails, so can't wait to try this.

So far, I've loved my Glossybox's! It's great, receiving a box of mystery beauty products every month. I opted for the Monthly Plan at £10 a month plus postage.

New Nail Polish from Topshop and Revlon

B here...

I popped into town today and went on a mission to buy some new nail polishes. I went into Boots first and saw Revlon had 2 for £10 on all nail polish, so I chose a lovely purple colour with sparkly bits and a white nail polish.

I've always liked Topshop nail polish so I went there next and got a summery pink colour and thought I would try their top and base coat nail polish.

These are the Revlon nail polishes I bought: 050 White On White and 260 Girly.

These are the Topshop nail polishes I bought: Relapse and Top & Base Coat.

I'll be trying them soon, so pop back if you would like to see what they look like!

Nail Rock Nail Wraps

B here...

I was really excited to try these Nail Rock nail wraps because I loved the tribal pattern. I ordered them from Nail Polish Direct and they arrived shortly after.

I sat down and got myself prepared to try these nail wraps. I wear stick on nails so I thought it would a quick job, just stick on the nail wraps and done, unfortunately this was not the case. I read the instructions and tried to stick on one nail wrap and it just creased, I tried smoothing out the creases but there were too many. I then tried what the instructions said and pull the nail wrap tight to pull out any creases but still failed. I then tried it on another nail and the same thing, I dread to think even trying with my left hand.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? If anyone has any suggestions please comment or tweet me @zeeandbblog.

So that was a real shame, I spent £8.99 and did not have lovely tribal patterned nails. Maybe I'll try nail wraps again one day and hopefully have an alternative outcome.

Nails Inc Sugarloaf Sunset Nail Polish

B here...

For this week's nails, I have gone for my Nails Inc freebie from In Style magazine Sugarloaf Sunset with one cheeky silver glitter nail on each hand.

Sometimes I love having just one nail polish colour, but I think that having that one cheeky nail a different colour or glitter can give you and your outfit something extra.

Look out for next week's nails...

Revlon Parfumerie Nail Varnish

Zee here...

I love painting my nails and once I heard that Revlon had bought out a scented nail varnish I just had to try it. Seeing as mint green seems to be this summers colour I chose the sparkly Wintermint shade.

Don't make the same mistake as me and try to sniff the varnish from the bottle as the scent is only apparent once dry.

The varnish went on perfectly and only one slightly thick coat was needed! My nails were dry within minutes and the glitter was evenly spread. As soon as my nails were dry you could definitely smell the fresh minty scent! At first does seem to be quite strong however it does settle down.

I'm really pleased with my Revlon Parfumerie nail varnish as the colour and finish looks great. And much to my surprise the scent really works! I can't wait to try out other shades.

Urban Veda

Zee here...

At first when I opened my secret Santa present this Christmas my heart initially sunk, a load of bath and body gifts. I'm ashamed to admit my first thought was what an easy cop out. However this set of Urban Veda products turned out to be the uncovering of a gold mine!

My absolute favourite item is the Radiance Body Wash. The scent is incredible and the softness of the lotion is perfect for any type of skin. I love it! I wish everything I had was in the Radiance range just because of it's scent.

The product that comes in second place would be the Soothing Hydrating Toner with it's warm and comforting sandlewood scent. This reminded me a lot of The Sanctuary range you can purchase in boots but it's even better! It's leaves your skin with a clean and healthy glow.

As you can see from the image I was lucky to receive a further 3 products, all from the Purifying range. These make your skin feel alive and fresh! Perfect for waking you up in the morning or on a hot summers day.

After my first time using the Urban Veda products I knew I wouldn't be able to switch back to normal high street shower and body products so I checked out their website. At first glance the Urban Veda range may seem a little highly priced (£8.99 for shower gel) but it is so unbelievably worth it! The products are natural, environmentally friendly and healthy for your skin. And the best part - they don't test on animals!
