August's GlossyBox

B here...

This month's GlossyBox has arrived and it looks like the box has changed to more of a square matte, which is still lovely. The box felt heavy, so I have very curious to what was inside.

Let's take a peak...

[Comfort Zone] Essentials Cleansing Milk - Full size product £20
I don't usually use cleansing milk as part of my beauty regime, but it looks and sounds like a good product, so I'll give it a go.

Lalique L'Amour, £67 for a full size 50ml bottle
I dabbed some on my wrists straight away and it is a lovely scent, very floral.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (40ml) £38 for a full size 250ml
This is a pre-shampoo treatment and originally created for Audrey Hepburn. I wouldn't normally buy hair treatments like this, but excited to give it a try to see the results.

Figs & Rouge Mini Hand Cream (20ml) £6.95 for full size 80ml
This was the first product to stand out to me with the amazing colours on the bottle. It;s the perfect size to take around in your bag. It's smooth on the skin and a lovely scent of shea butter.

Yves Rocher Pink Nail Polish 3ml at £3.60
First thoughts were "its so cute". Petite bottle of nail polish and a really nice pink colour.

Kryolan For GlossyBox Highlighter Cashmere - Full size product at £12.95
This highlighter really does feel like cashmare. It's so soft and a subtle shine when I tried it on my hand. Perfect for cheekbones and lips.

Overall, I'm impressed with this month's Glossybox and can't wait to try these products.

Models Own Artstix Duo Polish - Blibble

B here...

I tried this Models Own Artstix Duo Polish 2 weeks ago now and loved it! When I was picking out Models Own nail polishes to buy I really wanted this neon pink polish but it was out of stock but the sales assistant said that this Artstix was the same neon pink so I bought it.

It was a bit awkward applying the nail polish as it isn't your standard bottle, but I love the colour and added the silver cover it sparkle to one finger on each hand.

The pink really stands out as it was the first thing most people complimented me on when I saw them!

With all Models Own nail polishes I have tried, they have all been smooth application and quick to dry.

Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss

B here...

It's that time again...new nails!

This week I've gone for another Models Own nail polish, the HyperGel in Turquoise Gloss.

I absolutely love this colour! It's so nice and bright and perfect for this glorious weather. I used the HyperGel Topcoat again to make them shiny.

Since I got my Bill Skinner Bee & Honeycomb ring, I literally haven't taken it off. I love it so much and can't wait to buy another amazing ring from their collections.

No doubt, next week's nails will be another Models Own treat!

Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss £5
Models Own HyperGel Top Coat £8
Bill Skinner Bee & Honeycomb Ring £60

Models Own Hypergel Pink Veneer and Hypergel Top Coat

B here...

This week's nails I have gone for my new Models Own Hypergel in Pink Veneer with the Hypergel Top Coat. The Hypergel in Pink Veneer is £5 and the Hypergel Top Coat is £8.

I really love the pale pink colour, I've had pale pinks before, but there were always just too light. The application was smooth and dried quickly.

So far, I'm really impressed with Models Own nail polishes having tried 2 colours now and the Hypergel Top Coat. The Hypergel range does give the nails (in my case, false nails) a gel effect and the Hypergel Top Coat leaves is nice and shiny.

Have you tried Models Own nail polish? If so, any colours that I need to try? :)

Nail Polish Rack

B here...

If you have read through some of my previous blog posts, you would have picked up that I love nail polish! You could probably say I'm addicted in fact. To be honest, I haven't counted how many nail polishes I have, but it is definitely a lot. I used to keep all my nail polish in a toiletries bag, which you could never zip up, so I thought it was time to organise them.

My boyfriend and I popped into HomeSense to see if we could find something to put all my nail polishes in or on. We found a spice rack, which had 3 levels and wide enough for 2 rows of nail polish on each level.

Here is the finished result and it's jam packed full already, so I'll need to buy another one or a bigger one!

It's so much better now having them in a rack, so I can see what colours I have when it comes to my weekly nail colour change.

Do you have a nail rack at home or another way you organise your nail polishes?

No7 'Hotting Up' Gel-Look Shine Polish

Zee here...

Today's nail polish is Boots No7 'Hotting Up' nail polish which is part of the new gel shine range. It's a lovely hot pink shade which is nice for the summer and goes with loads of different outfits!

The polish dried really quickly and the finish was lovely and smooth. I could have left it with only one coat and it would have been fine but I always like to do a second coat.

Usually when I paint my nails I have to use my Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day Clear Gel polish on top to give it the shine but this lovely nail varnish has a nice gel finish on it's own! This means I'm saving money by not using the extra varnish and it also saves time painting them.

I'd definitely recommend this Gel Shine No7 polish, I've already bought another one in a dark maroon/wine colour which I'll try out next!

New Models Own Nail Polishes

B here...

I went to Bluewater yesterday and saw the Models Own bottleshop, so had to pop in and have a look. I've never used Models Own nail polishes before but my friend Amy was raving about their Hyper Gel range. There was an offer where you could get 6 nail polishes for £20 and then if you can get the Hyper Gel Top Coat for £5 which is usually £8. The Models Own shop assistant was so helpful and lovely. I also got a free Models Own mirror for just going in there to have a look.

I was so excited to try one of my new nail polishes that I did my nails that evening. I went for the neon yellow nail polish called Polish for Tans Bikini NP200. The yellow is designed to enhance and compliment a natural tan.

I also used the Hyper Gel Top Coat, which gives your nails a gel effect and makes them look really shiny. The Hyper Get Top Coat is usually £8, but I got it for £5 as I bought other Models Own products.

Here are my nails after the neon yellow nail polish and Hyper Gel Top Coat. As I was a newbie to Models Own nail polishes, I was really impressed with the application and love the colour. I've had constant compliments on the neon yellow.

Overall, I am really happy with my purchases from Models Own and I will definitely be buying more. I've already got my eye on the neon green colour! ;)

Topshop Matte Chico Latino Nail Polish

B here...

For this weeks nails, I've gone for Topshop's Matte Chico Latino nail polish.

I really like the colour, a deep purple. Smooth application and dries quickly. I find that matte nail polish always dries quicker. I did like the matte effect, but for this time I decided to put a top coat to make it a bit shiny.

They are £6, but they are 2 for £9 on selected nails polishes in Topshop.

No7 Cheeky Chops Nail Polish

Zee here...

I shop in Boots regularly and often get given vouchers with £3 off any No7 make up in store, whenever I get these vouchers I tend stock up on new No7 nail varnishes. I recently bought 'Cheeky Chops' which is a fun summery coral colour which looks lovely on! As you can see by the photo it leaves your nails looking bright with a smooth glossy professional finish. This colour is great for adding statement to any outfit - especially when wearing black!  I have already gone and bought another 'Cheeky Chops' as I love the colour that much I don't want to risk it being discontinued!

One of my favourite things about the No7 nail varnish range is that it lasts at least a week and tends to be pretty much chip free! I also love the No7 nail varnish bottles - they have a sleek look to them and it looks great when you line them all up together!

Topshop Relapse Nail Polish

B here...

Here is Topshop's Relapse Nail Polish I bought the other day. The colour grabbed me because it's a lovely pink summery colour. I probably have too many pink nail polishes, but they're all slightly different shades :)

Like all Topshop nail polishes I've tried, I find the application smooth and dries relatively quickly.

I love the colour and I also used it on my toes and the pink really pops with sandals!

It was 2 nail polishes for £9, which is very good value.

Illamasqua Scarce Nail Polish Review

B here...

This nail polish is quite old now, but I love it!
This is Illamasqua's Scarce nail polish. I saw it on A Model Recommends a while ago and bought it straight away! I also have it in blue. I love the speckled effect. Soon after, other brands followed the speckled effect like Models Own and Topshop.

Its £14.50, which I don't think it excessive as it's a lovely colour, has lasted ages and great application.

Illamasqua have now discontinued this nail polish, but Topshop and Models Own both sell a similar one.

Inside June's Glossybox

B here...

My Glossybox arrived today!! As always, amazing packaging, I'm crazy about the pink box that it always arrives in.

So let's have a peak inside June's Glossybox.

Teeez Trend Cosmetics - Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush, €19
First impressions, I love the packaging and pattern on the brush. Will be a fab addition to my make up brushes!

So Susan Cosmetics - Universal Blush, £18.
Again I love the packaging and on the back of the box it says cruelty free with a picture of a rabbit. I haven't used blush before but excited to try it!

got2b - Rise 'n Shine Soufflé, £4.07
Smells amazing! I also don't tend to use hair products like this but it's for volume and shine and I wouldn't say no to my hair looking shiny and voluminous.

Roger&Gallet - Fleur de Figuier discovery ritual, shower cream, body lotion and way fraîche fragrance.

nailgirls - 3 in 1 bass/topcoat & nail strengthener, £13.50 for 15ml. This one is 10ml.
I love doing my nails, so can't wait to try this.

So far, I've loved my Glossybox's! It's great, receiving a box of mystery beauty products every month. I opted for the Monthly Plan at £10 a month plus postage.

New Nail Polish from Topshop and Revlon

B here...

I popped into town today and went on a mission to buy some new nail polishes. I went into Boots first and saw Revlon had 2 for £10 on all nail polish, so I chose a lovely purple colour with sparkly bits and a white nail polish.

I've always liked Topshop nail polish so I went there next and got a summery pink colour and thought I would try their top and base coat nail polish.

These are the Revlon nail polishes I bought: 050 White On White and 260 Girly.

These are the Topshop nail polishes I bought: Relapse and Top & Base Coat.

I'll be trying them soon, so pop back if you would like to see what they look like!

Nails Inc Sugarloaf Sunset Nail Polish

B here...

For this week's nails, I have gone for my Nails Inc freebie from In Style magazine Sugarloaf Sunset with one cheeky silver glitter nail on each hand.

Sometimes I love having just one nail polish colour, but I think that having that one cheeky nail a different colour or glitter can give you and your outfit something extra.

Look out for next week's nails...

Free Nails Inc nail polish with In Style magazine

Zee & B here...

In Style magazine this month are giving away a full sized Nails Inc nail polish! We both decided to get the pink colour but they have 2 other colours available, an orangey red and pearly white colour. Grab them while you can from most supermarkets. We got ours from ASDA for £3.90 but then shortly found out that Tesco were selling them for £2.50...bummer!

We both loved the colour and once on, it first appeared to be a barbie pink colour but after a few days the colour seemed to gradually become much more of a neon pink, which was still so nice.

Nails Inc Floral Street Mews

B here...

When I received Nails Inc's email about their floral nail polish being released and you could pre-order and receive it before it was released to shops, I was straight on their website to pre-order mine.

There were some amazing colours to choose from and so close to pre-ordering them all, but I went for Floral Street Mews, which is a lovely pink and blue colour, perfect for Summer! These floral Nails Inc nail polishes are retailed at £12.

Here is Nails Inc's Floral Street Mews. The lid has white printed flowers, which is consistent with their other special effects nail polishes like Feathers. You can see all the flower shapes in white and blue and couldn't wait to try it on.

I shook the bottle quite vigorously to make sure that the flower shapes was well mixed, so there would be even application. Despite shaking it so hard, I did have to apply quite a few coats to make sure there was a good amount of flower shapes placed on each nail.

Here is the end result. My nails (false) did dry quite quickly, however, throughout the week, corners of some of the flower shapes did start to peel off, which is a shame but I still love the floral special effect and colours.

Love
B xx
