Bill Skinner Drinks Party

B here...

I got a bit snap happy as you will find throughout this post, which is understandable as Bill Skinner jewellery is absolutely divine. My friend Vikki and I went to Bill Skinner's Drinks Party on Friday 25th July at their Tenterden shop. I was so excited to go!

Welcomed with champagne...cheers!

and delicious canapés with vegetables and dip.

Love the bunting!

There's the lovely Vikki deciding which piece to buy.

Too many choices...I love them all!

Here is the lovely Rachel who is the Manageress of the Tenterden store who has been a great help with deciding what jewellery suits me. There is Oliver, the photographer and owner of Legend Photography who took some great photos and Vikki and I had a little photo shoot which was so much fun. Oliver is fun, makes you feel completely relaxed and very friendly.

These are the 2 gorgeous rings that I decided to buy. The Hedgerow Statement Ring at £75 and the Leopard Ring at £60. I also got 10% off them as a special discount for the event, so I could justify buying 2!

I love the Hedgerow Statement Ring so much! It's so unique and beautifully designed. The colours and detail is amazing and will go with everything.

Love the bird

Here is the Leopard Ring, I was nearly out the door with my Hedgerow Statement Ring but then I saw the Leopard Ring and had to try it on, which led to me buying it too!

It's such a nice ring and looks great on.

Thank you for such a lovely day and looking forward to your future events!

This week I've gone for another Models Own nail polish, the HyperGel in Turquoise Gloss.

I absolutely love this colour! It's so nice and bright and perfect for this glorious weather. I used the HyperGel Topcoat again to make them shiny.

Since I got my Bill Skinner Bee & Honeycomb ring, I literally haven't taken it off. I love it so much and can't wait to buy another amazing ring from their collections.

No doubt, next week's nails will be another Models Own treat!

Giraffe in Oxford

Zee here...

Today I ate at Giraffe for the first time in Oxford City Centre. The service was great with all the servers being very friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the range of choice on their menu with full English breakfasts, burgers, Mexican dishes, grills!

We had some lovely mint lemonade for £2.55 which came out in these cute jam jars! I love the presentation of these drinks, it's such a simple idea but works so well! This was a lovely and refreshing drink with makes a nice drink from the standard coke, sprite, fanta soft drinks usually on offer at restaurants.

For my main I had BBQ Chicken and Cheddar Cheese Quesadillas with a salsa and salad on the side for £9.25. This dish was so good!! The filling also had some sweetcorn and black beans which emhanced the Mexican theme and added more flavour. These were also presented so nicely on a wooden board. It was also really filling which was surprising for me as I thought it didn't look tht big initially.

I had a great time at Giraffe and will definitely be going back to try out more of their dishes!!

My Outfit for an Oxford Wedding

Zee here...

Below is the outfit I wore this weekend to a wedding in Oxford at the lovely Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel. I love lace so when I saw a shell pink lace dress in New Look I just had to have it! And want to know what the best bit is? It was in a summer exclusive 25% off deal! That meant this dress went down from £22.99 to £17 - what a bargain!!

One of the best things about the colour shell pink is that it's very easy to accersorize. I chose to wear nude strappy heels with my dress as I feel they always look nice and classy at a wedding. Also it struggle with shoes as I have narrow feet with a high instep but as these high heels have a strap I'm a lot more comfortable in them and can stay in them longer! The nude high heels were also from New Look and cost £19.99.

I was unsure what jewellery to wear as the dress came with a black and gold belt and all of my gold necklaces are chunky fashion ones which would clash with this dress. I decided to go for some statement earrings instead which can be seen in the image below. The pink and gold flower earrings looked great on and really brightened up my outfit! I decided that as I was wearing big earrings I didn't need a necklace on with the dress and I also decided against bracelets as yet again all my gold ones are fashion bangles and made to make a statement.

I used a black envelope clutch with a gold trim to match the black belt I had one. This bag is a perfect size for me as I could fit my flat beaded sandals (for in case my feet hurt too much in the heels), make up, money, keys and phone in! It also looked great with the outfit so tied it altogether nicely! I have had this clutch bag for a while now but it was also from New Look.

The wedding was lovely and the venue was absolutely beautiful! The weather even held out for us too. It was a great day and I loved my outfit!

Inquisitive Cows Mulberry Artwork

B here...

I stumbled across Inquisitive Cows on Twitter and fell in love with his Mulberry illustrations.  I'm crazy about Mulberry bags and thought his artwork was made for me.

Here is the Mulberry illustration I'm talking about. It clearly shows how any woman would feel about her Mulberry bag especially if it was her first one.

As soon as I saw it, I messaged @CWcharlesworth (Inquisitive Cows) to find out if I could buy it. Minutes later, I had a reply saying I could and that I was able to buy the original. I was so happy! A few days later, Will (the artist) popped by to drop it off. He is a lovely guy and even said that if I had any suggestions of anything he could draw then let him know, so if you have any ideas and want your own Inquisitive Cows illustration then tweet @CWcharlesworth or visit his website.

My new Mulberry illustrations next to my Bayswater! :)

I'm going to get it framed and then I think I will hang it near my make-up table.

Not only are there illustrations of Mulberry bags, but there are some great pieces of Cows, Chickens, Bunnies and many more!

July's 'Stars & Stripes' GlossyBox

B here...

This month's Glossybox has arrived!! I didn't realise that it was going to be the Stars and Stripes box, so it was a nice surprise when I unpacked it.

As always, beautifully packaged and the blue and red theme continues inside the box.

Let's see what's inside...

Bellapierre cosmetics: Mineral lipstick (full sized) at £20

I've never tried orange lipstick because I can't imagine it would suit me, but I will have a try. It's very smooth.

Colour Club: Glossy Seal which has cruelty free ingredients which is good to know. $8 for 15ml. I'm a serious nail polish addict but this colour didn't grab me, but maybe I'll think differently when it's applied.

Carmex: Lip Balm at £2.69. I've tried Carmex before a long time ago and I like it. Funny sensation with the beeswax but does helped chapped lips.

Good size to take with you everywhere.

ABSOLUTE New York: Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer at $4.99.

I've tried Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer before, which was good and my eyeshadow stayed on all day, so I look forward to trying this one to see if it is the same or better. When I put it on my hand, it was silky smooth, so I have high hopes.

tarte: lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara at £19.50 for 7ml. First impressions,  I really like the mascara bottle.

The brush looks good and looks like it'll be able to get into the lashes in the corner of your eye with ease.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this month's Glossybox. A bunch of staple products from brands I haven't tried before, so I look forward to testing them out.

Models Own Hypergel Pink Veneer and Hypergel Top Coat

B here...

This week's nails I have gone for my new Models Own Hypergel in Pink Veneer with the Hypergel Top Coat. The Hypergel in Pink Veneer is £5 and the Hypergel Top Coat is £8.

I really love the pale pink colour, I've had pale pinks before, but there were always just too light. The application was smooth and dried quickly.

So far, I'm really impressed with Models Own nail polishes having tried 2 colours now and the Hypergel Top Coat. The Hypergel range does give the nails (in my case, false nails) a gel effect and the Hypergel Top Coat leaves is nice and shiny.

Have you tried Models Own nail polish? If so, any colours that I need to try? :)

Pale Pink Summer Beaded Sandals

Zee here...

I'm a massive fan of New Looks sandals and once again they have impressed me this year. These pretty nude/pale pink sandals were only £17.99 and they go with everything!! I love the beadwork, it makes the sandals much more dressy which means I can where them out clubbing too.

The first time I wore them they did rub a lot and I ended up with a big blister on each foot by the toe piece. By the time I wore them again my feet had clearly got used to them and were much happier and now I can spend all day in them! I'm going to a wedding at the weekend and I have bought a nude lace dress which these sandals will look lovely with.

I'm already looking on New Look's website to get myself some more summer sandals!!

Fentiman's Vintage Drinks

Zee here...

When I was out in the village of Lewes I found these cute Fentiman's vintage drinks bottles. Straight away I thought these would make lovely little gifts to take home for my family so I bought three different bottles as they were only £2.25 each.

As my late nan's name was Rose it seemed appropriate to get the Rose Lemonade for Granddad which he absolutely loved! It's made with 'the juice of real lemons and pure Rose Otto oil from the world famous Rose Valley in Kazanlak, Bulgaria.' According to him it was delicious and that the rose flavour worked perfectly with the lemons. He was also fascinated by the old style bottle that the drink came in, bringing back loads of memories and stories from 'back in his day'.

My mum is constantly buying any supermarket own brand Dandelion and Burdock so I thought she would definitely enjoy trying the real deal Dandelion and Burdock from Fentiman's. She was thrilled when I showed her the gift! She said it was by far the best Dandelion and Burdock drink she had tried, she was impressed by the strength of the flavour compared to the cheaply mass produced supermarket stuff she usually has. It shows that sometimes its worth spending that little bit more as the quality is so much better!

Even though my sister is now 19 she still seems to always pick a coke over an alcoholic drink as she loves it so much therefore the Curiosity Cola was great for her. She loved it, saying it was better than Coca Cola's own recipe!

The Fentiman's drinks are lovely and unique. The vintage feel to the bottles really stands out and works well with their brand!

Mulberry Envelope Purse in Red

B here...

I went into Tunbridge Wells town today to just have a browse of the shops. I intended to go in to find a new perfume, but ended up leaving with a new Mulberry purse...oops!

I went into Fenwick's as always just to admire the Mulberry bags and I saw that some purses were 40% off. There was this lovely Mulberry Envelope purse in red patent, which was £177 down from £295. I currently have the Mulberry Continental purse, which I have had for around 3 years now and have wanted to buy a new one in a while.

Here she is :) Wrapped up in lovely tissue with the Mulberry logo everywhere.

I may be colour blind because I thought it looks quite orange in these photos, but it is red.

I love the postman's lock in order to open and close the purse.

There is a fair bit of space inside for cards and money. In comparison to the Mulberry Continental purse, there is not as many card holder spaces, but with the Envelope purse it will stop me from carrying cards that I never use.

There's a pocket at the back of the purse for coins.

I love this purse and with 40% off, it's even better! I usually go for browns or blacks with my bags or purses, but thought I should spice things up a bit and go for red and I'm happy I did.

Nail Polish Rack

B here...

If you have read through some of my previous blog posts, you would have picked up that I love nail polish! You could probably say I'm addicted in fact. To be honest, I haven't counted how many nail polishes I have, but it is definitely a lot. I used to keep all my nail polish in a toiletries bag, which you could never zip up, so I thought it was time to organise them.

My boyfriend and I popped into HomeSense to see if we could find something to put all my nail polishes in or on. We found a spice rack, which had 3 levels and wide enough for 2 rows of nail polish on each level.

Here is the finished result and it's jam packed full already, so I'll need to buy another one or a bigger one!

It's so much better now having them in a rack, so I can see what colours I have when it comes to my weekly nail colour change.

Do you have a nail rack at home or another way you organise your nail polishes?

Outfit For A Rainy Day

B here...

The past week's weather has been rather depressing with some cold, rainy days, so I struggled to decide what to wear to work one day as I had packed up most of my wintery clothes to make space for Summer!

I went for my blue and white striped long sleeve swing dress from Boohoo.com, relatively thick black tights, tan ankle boots from Topshop, black long cardigan from Primark, Bill Skinner necklace and ring and my oversized Alexa from Mulbery.

Bill Skinner Bee & Honeycomb necklace

This outfit was suitable for work and comfy. Let's hope for some more Summer days to bust out summery outfits.
