Johnson's of Old Hurst Farm

Zee here...

I recently spent the weekend in Cambridgeshire and visited Johnson's Old Hurst in Huntingdon to have afternoon tea. Upon arrival it was lovely to see all of the animals in the fields. This is a slightly unique farm in that it's live stock also include deer, kangaroos, donkeys and crocodiles!

The tea room is a newly converted barn which offers a wide selection of meals and snacks. I chose to have the afternoon tea as I was eating later that evening and it was so filling! The photo below shows the delicious home-made scone with the fresh cream and farm shop jam. As you can see the portions as Johnson's are massive making it great value for money!

Another reason to visit Johnson's is to purchase local organic produce. Their farm shop stocks everything such as their own meat along with vegetables and ales from other local businesses. Many of their items make great gifts, I managed to get my dad some home-made marmalade and chutney!

Johnson's provides a lovely afternoon out and also gives you a chance to support local small businesses!
